Iceland, 1974. Two men disappear in mysterious circumstances. Their bodies have never been found. Six young people confessed to the murders during a police investigation dogged by controversy, and they later repeatedly denied their statements. After a sensational trial all six are convicted and given very harsh sentences including life imprisonment, the first such sentence in the history of modern Iceland. Having conducted extensive research and their own investigation, the director and the actors decided to look into the human mind and memory where fiction and imagination have become mixed with reality.

Running time: 1 hour 30 minutes (without interval)
