After Us – Outer Space

Europe, at some point in the not-so-distant future: nationalism and fascism have permanently established themselves on a continent marked by political tensions and warlike unrest. A woman in her thirties is preparing to leave by applying for a reality show whose participant will fly to Mars to build a new society on the red planet. However, this seemingly last resort in the face of the increasing threat is only available under certain conditions: to ensure procreation on the alien planet, the rocker can only be entered together with a partner…

Shrewd and ironical, this production is a new installment in the story of Sybille Berg’s 21st-century anti-heroine. In this episode, she is preoccupied with preparing for her intergalactic exit and, more (or less) enthusiastically, takes up the search for a partner.

Running time: 1 hour 15 minutes (without interval)
