The sixth day of the Festival is over!

We started it with a delicious breakfast, after which professional dancers and actors took part in physical theatre workshops.

Right at 11:00 we went for a walk to see the installations prepared for the 7×7 event, which was a part of the Kontakt-Lyubimovka programme. Students of Nicolaus Copernicus University, Faculty of Fine Arts (Art and Intermedia Section), together with students of the Warsaw Theatre Academy Directing Department, prepared 7 readings/installations of 7-word plays. Thank you for your creative work!

At 15:00, we listened to a reading session of Durnienkov’s Utopia directed by Maciej Wiktor.

Yesterday, we could also see some fascinating performances. In Requiem for L., fourteen musicians from around the world meet around the greatest, although unfinished, work of Mozart. In Situation with Outstretched Arm, a performative essay, the saluto romano, a politically tainted gesture, was the subject of reflection. Latvian Medea delighted the audience with its form, minimalism, and great acting.

Sadly, today is the last day of the Festival, but the programme is still full of events!

Until 13:00, we will be waiting with breakfast at Plac Teatralny. At 10:00, in CSW, the TV performance entitled The Rita G. Case directed by Daria Kopiec will be screened. The KZD Debate Club invites everyone to a discussion whose topic is East – West. Face-to-face or back-to-back? It will start at noon in CKK Jordanki. Today we will also have a chance to listen to the last performative reading during the Festival – during the session, Marius Ivaškevičius’ The Sleeping Ones will be read. This evening, we will also see Requiem for L.

Who will be the winner of ITF Kontakt 2018? The jury will give their verdict during a gala starting at 22:00.

Be with us!
